A report of the pilot partnership improvement programme with voluntary and community organisations and local authorities

This is a summary report of the Partnership Improvement Programme, a collaborative initiative between the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) and IVAR. The overall aim of the programme pilot was to work with mixed groups from local authorities and the voluntary and community sector to build their capacity to work more effectively in collaboration and to model a new way of developing sustainable cross-sector relationships.

Part one of the report introduces the programme; part two covers the public policy context; parts three and four summarise the key findings from the pilot and parts five and six explore the key implications of the Partnership Improvement Programme for both policy and practice.
