Based on IVAR’s recent review of the Hyde Foundation, this report explores what a relational, place-based approach to funding looks like in practice. It brings together learning from interviews and a stakeholder survey, capturing partners’ experiences of Hyde’s grant-making, funder-plus support and wider social value activity. The findings highlight Hyde’s added value beyond funding alone, including its role as a connector within local networks, and reflect on what supports – and sustains – relational approaches to funding.
