In the face of overwhelming need

Supporting charities to navigate the Cost of Living crisis

During November 2022, 32 charity leaders from across the UK came together to talk about the impact of the Cost of Living crisis on their work in four Leading in Uncertainty sessions. We wanted to understand their concerns and how funders could help them to navigate an extended period of upheaval. We share the themes of what has been keeping charity leaders awake at night, how charities can approach funding relationships, and what funders can do to better support charities during this time. We’re asking funders to think about how they can sensitively and appropriately respond to the challenges facing charities and their leaders, and for charities to share this with their funders.
