Faithful Regeneration

The role and contribution of local parishes in local communities in the Diocese of Birmingham

This is a study on the role and contribution of local parishes in local communities in the Diocese of Birmingham. The study was carried out by the Centre for Voluntary Action Research at Aston Business School for the Church of England Diocese of Birmingham.

The study’s aim was to develop and promote an understanding of the distinctive features and value of the contribution (for example, tackling disadvantage, supporting flourishing neighbourhoods and contributing to ‘social capital’) made by local parishes in the Diocese of Birmingham to civil renewal.
