A Profound and Practical Difference is a report of our evaluation of Lloyds Bank Foundation for Northern Ireland’s Creating Change programme. It highlights how a combination of long-term funding, training, networking and hands-on support helped Creating Change grantees become stronger organisations and develop new, larger or better activities and services.

Our report tells the story of this bold, groundbreaking initiative. Bold in its decision to invest long-term in 2008 during the economic crash and at a time when many charitable funders were increasingly anxious about expenditure and long-term commitments. Groundbreaking, because at the time very few UK foundations were adopting the kind of flexible funding model embodied by Creating Change.
