We work to understand, support and strengthen voluntary and community sector organisation and management by using action research. We work collaboratively; concentrate on problem-solving; and want our work to be relevant and practically useful to the voluntary and community sector, as well as to funders, policymakers and other sectors.

Our roots, in the voluntary and community sector and academia, mean that our practice is both rigorous and attuned to the organisations we work with.

We engage in topics that really matter – our current interests are: Impact; mergers; cross-sector relationships; capacity building; and work with trusts and foundations.
