Transforming healthcare together

Mark is part of the leadership and organisational development team and he brings an in-depth knowledge and experience of developing patient and community leaders to The King’s Fund. A key focus of his work is on supporting the development of new relationships between patients, communities and health and care professionals by embedding collaborative and partnership working across the health and care system. He supports individuals and teams characterised by diversity and difference to collaborate in order to perform effectively both operationally and strategically  


At The King’s Fund Mark is the director of the Leading Collaboratively with Patients and Communities programme. He is also part of the design and delivery team involved with the Cascading Leadership initiative. This is a programme that supports peer to peer leadership development in the voluntary and community sector. 


Mark is co-founder and director of The Centre for Patient Leadership. He advises organisations both nationally and internationally including NHS England, on patient leadership and developing collaborative working practices. He is also an accredited and experienced executive coach supporting senior leaders with their personal and professional development. He also works as a team coach and supervisor.
