Rebecca Moran

Rebecca is a Senior Research Officer at IVAR.  Since joining IVAR in December 2008 she has carried out research into a range of issues  including: collaboration; mergers; assets; assessing impact; and capacity building.  Rebecca has co-authored and contributed to a range of IVAR publications and presented at conferences, including ARNOVA (Association for Research on Non-profit Organisations and Voluntary Action) and VSSN (Voluntary Sector Studies Network).  Rebecca is experienced in conducting a range of qualitative research methods as well as designing and analysing social surveys.  Rebecca fully embraces the principles of action research in all of her work and believes in rigorous, ethical research practice.  

Rebecca has always had an interest in the voluntary and community sector and in the value of research.  Prior to joining IVAR, she worked as a policy researcher in a large UK-based children’s charity after graduating with distinction on a ‘Masters in Research Methods’ degree programme.
