This second article presenting findings from IVAR’s study of community bridge-building has been published in the first issue of the new UK academic journal ‘Voluntary Sector Review’.   The new journal is sponsored by the Voluntary Sector Studies Network (VSSN) and is an exciting landmark for UK scholars and practitioners who, up to now, have had to rely on international journals for reading and publishing about the voluntary sector.

Harris, M.E. and Young, P.

Some of the findings from IVAR's study of grassroots 'bridge-building' have been published in the academic journal Policy and Politics.  The study was conducted by Margaret Harris with Patricia Young and focused on local organisations and projects which have a vision to build links and bridges between people from different faith and ethnic groups and different countries of origin. It looked at the activities such groups are running, how they are managed and how they are funded. It explored the challenges they face and how their good experiences can be shared.
