Every year BIG gives out millions of pounds from the National Lottery to good causes. Money goes to community groups and to projects that improve health, education and the environment.

The Community Alliance is a partnership of bassac, Community Matters and the DTA. The Alliance believes that community anchors are frequently the driving force in community renewal.

free@last is a small inner city charity that provides support and opportunities to the children, young people and adults of Nechells, Birmingham.

The I&DeA supports improvement and innovation in local government. It works with local authorities and their partners to develop and share good practice. This is done through networks, online resources, and support from councillor and officer peers.

The JRF seeks to understand the root causes of social problems, to identify ways of overcoming them, and to show how social needs can be met in practice.

As part of the Cabinet Office, OTS leads work across government to support the environment for a thriving third sector, enabling the sector to campaign for change, deliver public services, promote social enterprise and strengthen communities. The OTS was created at the centre of government in May 2006 in recognition of the increasingly important role the third sector plays in both society and the economy.

Tudor is an independent grant-making trust which supports organisations working across the UK. It aims to support work which addresses the social, emotional and financial needs of people at the margins of our society. It is particularly interested in helping smaller, under-resourced organisations which offer direct services and which involve the people they work with in their planning.
