New thinking about impact
On Thursday 25th November, funders, practitioners and researchers came together to discuss the findings of a collaborative action research project about the impact of multi-purpose community organisations that IVAR has carried out in partnership with New Philanthropy Capital.
Participants heard presentations from the researchers and their co-researchers in the community organisations that took part. In the discussion that followed, many participants said that impact assessment is best seen as “management development” or “good leadership”.
A summary of the initial research findings was circulated at the event and can be downloaded here.
We will publish a full report and revised summary in the New Year.
