IVAR uses 'capacity building' to describe 'the process by which, through the practical application of knowledge, third sector organisations can improve their ability to perform in an independent, effective and sustainable manner'.

To use knowledge and learning for sustainable change within third sector organisations

The objectives of our capacity building are:

To increase opportunities for shared learning in the third sector
Develop, promote and exchange knowledge and problem-solving approaches for practical use in third sector organisations.
