Action Research

Our current action research projects include:

  • A real time evaluation of The Community Alliance (bassac, Community Matters and DTA.
  • A study on models of third sector 'representation'
  • A study on ‘critical success factors for the implementation of local Compacts’ for the Commission on the Compact
  • A study on bridge-building across religious and ethnic divides
  • An evidence review on ‘community assets’ for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation
  • An evaluation of the ‘Improving services for older people’ programme for the City Bridge Trust

Capacity Building

We have recently completed the pilot 'Capacity Building the Capacity Builders' programme, developed jointly with bassac and BTEG, funded by The City Bridge Trust

Our current projects include:

  • The national roll-out of the pilot Partnership Improvement Programme with the IDeA, focusing on cross-sector partnership working between local authorities and third sector organisations
  • A capacity building project with organisations funded by The Tudor Trust

We are currently finalising arrangements for:

  • the development of a three-year 'Capacity Building the Capacity Builders' programme in London, in partnership with the Community Alliance and other community anchor organisations
  • the development of our contribution to the new Collaboration National Support Service
